Adidas Sneakers Speed hail the champions of Energizer National League Division 1

Kallang Netball Centre, July 10, 2010 – adidas Sneakers Speed beat Nike Swoosh 39-32 to crown the Division 1 of Energizer National League 2010.

The first quarter saw Sneakers setting the pace for the game. Swift movement coupling with slick passes saw Sneaker taking an early lead. Poor shooting from Nike gifted Sneakers valuable turovers, which were converted, and entered the second quarter with a 9-6 lead.

In the second quarter, loose defence and poor passing from Nike saw Sneakers capitalising on the opportunities, and further extended the lead to 21-11.

Nike made some changes to the line-up in the third quarter. However, poor communication further exacerbated the situation. Nike found no solution to stop the effective runs from Sneakers. Sneakers entered last quarter with a 32-19 lead.

Nike finally found their presence on court in the last quarter. Accurate shooting – near to 90% accuracy, coupled with the midfielders making good decisions to penetrate Sneakers’ defence, saw Nike narrowing the scoreline. However, the margin was too large for Nike. Sneakers eventually wrapped up the game 39-32 to win the final.
