SINGAPORE: Veteran national team netball player Charmaine Soh announced retirement after Singapore defeated Papua New Guinea 59-56 to win the 2023 Mirxes Nations Cup on Saturday (Oct 28) at the OCBC Arena, Singapore Sports Hub. It is Singapore’s third Nations Cup title, which they last won 16 years ago. Singapore won the first two editions of the tournament in 2006 and 2007 and were finalists in four subsequent editions in 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2019.

SINGAPORE: Singapore’s national netball team emerged victorious over Papua New Guinea in the final of the Mirxes Nations Cup on Saturday (Oct 28), ending a 16-year title drought with a 59-56 win at the OCBC Arena.

We can add our netball team to the list, with the girls claiming Singapore’s third Nations Cup title. They beat Papua New Guinea 59-56 to do so, winning the title for the first time since 2007.

SINGAPORE – Charmaine Soh promised herself she would not cry. But the tears came anyway after the final whistle of Saturday’s Nations Cup final. She played the last 46 seconds against Papua New Guinea, the 128th time she has represented Singapore, and it ended fittingly with a gold medal.
