TEAM SINGAPORE’S NETBALL PLAYERS TEAM UP WITH PAST LEGENDS TO NURTURE NEXT GENERATION OF NETBALLERS
SINGAPORE, 18 October 2015 – To give back to the Netball community, current National Players and former Netball legends came together today for a unique Netball clinic at the OCBC Arena with 46 aspiring team players from Coral Secondary School, Raffles Girls School, Regent Secondary School, Singapore Sports School and members from the National 14 & Under and 17 & Under squads.
Together with past Netball legends such as Pearline Chan and Jean Ng, the Team Singapore Netball players came in full force for a rare opportunity to teach, train and inspire the next generation of Netball players.
The clinic comes in the midst of the National Squad’s preparations for the upcoming Mission Foods Nations Cup from December 13 to 19 in Singapore. Ruth Aitken, Singapore Head Coach, noted, “Not only is this a great way for the team to let off some steam with their fans, these coaching interactions with younger players also help the team focus on crucial techniques from a different perspective.”
Tickets for the Mission Foods Nations Cup go on sale on 20 October and can be purchased online at http://www.apactix.com/events/detail/mission-foods-nations-cup-2015.
