The Singapore Vandas will take centre stage at the 2025 Singlife Nations Cup, held from 2 to 8 November at the OCBC Arena, as they prepare for the Southeast Asian Games in Thailand this December.
The Vandas welcome two notable returns. Midcourter Angelina Lim is back in the Nations Cup line-up after a one-year break and missing last yearβs edition, while shooter Lee Pei Shan returns to the 12 for the first time in 2025 after recovering from a persistent injury that had kept her out of the team. Their presence adds depth to a largely consistent squad that reached the Nations Cup final last year [Refer to Annex A for the full team list].
Reflecting on her return, Lim said: βI stepped away from the sport for a while, but I really missed competing and playing alongside my teammates. The last time I played in the Nations Cup, Singapore won, and those memories were unforgettable. Iβm excited to be back, and I hope to do my part for the team, so that we can create more special moments together.β
Under head coach Tara Steel, the Vandas have shown steady progress in 2025. At the UAE Netball Cup in June, they defeated Kenya and drew with Namibia in the group stage before falling to Namibia in a tightly contested final. With the SEA Games just a month away, the Singlife Nations Cup serves as a key milestone in their season, both as preparation and a chance to measure themselves against international opposition.
