M1 School Challenge League 2011

February 21, 2011 @ 8:00 am - May 26, 2011 @ 5:00 pm

The M1 SCL was started in 2006 with the intention of providing more competition time for schools who failed to qualify for the National Inter-Schools Netball Championships. Many of these schools trained for a whole year only to get to play 3 games in the Zonal Championships. The M1 SCL gives these schools an opportunity to play more games, against more schools of a similar standard, and across the 4 zones.

‘C’ Division
Yuan Ching Secondary School 45 – 27 Yusof Ishak Secondary School

Yuan Ching netballers dominate Yusof Ishak 45-27. Yuan Ching started well in the first quarter and created a couple of turnovers to lead 11-8. The second quarter saw Yuan Ching’s Goal Attack did the business at her end of the court. Her physical presence in the semi-circle allowed her to collect lobs and to give Yusof Ishak the 21-16 lead at the half. When play resumed in the 3rd quarter, Yuan Ching started with a rather fast counterattack that gave them a point, 31-22. In the 4th quarter there was absolutely no way back for Yusof Ishak as soon as the game got underway again, taking the final score and match to 45-27.

Compliments to St. Nicholas Girls Secondary School and Yuan Ching Secondary School for winning in their respective divisions!
