It’s a brand new game!  Fast5 is Netball like you’ve never seen before; featuring dynamic rules changes including five players a side and super shots! There are 3-pointer rewards for those willing to brave a shot from distance, 2-pointers and single point shots

Round Robin for 1st Round followed by Single Knock-out from Round 2 onwards.
*Netball Singapore reserves the right to change the format without prior notice.
Duration of Play 2 halves of 6 minutes each. No interval at half time.

1)    Prizes and Giveaways:

  • Competitive Category: Cash prizes as follows:-

            1st $1500     2nd $1000     3rd $800      4th     $500

  • Social Category: There will no cash prizes for social teams.
  • Trophies will be given to the top 3 teams of each category.
  • Bibs will be provided and teams are required to wear them for all matches
  • Lunch and water will be provided for all participants.


2)    Team Categories – Criteria

  • Competitive – a maximum of 2 national squad players will be allowed per team
  • Social – no national players will be allowed in the teams in this category.

                               i.            This category is open to teams new to this competition;
                               ii.            teams that did not progress to Round 2 last year;
                               iii.           or teams with a maximum of 2 players from a team that made Round 2 last year.

3)    Team Eligibility

  • This event is open to commercial companies/entities and statutory boards only.
  • All players must be employees of the company. Team lists are to be verified by the company’s Human Resource department or manager. If players are found not to be employees of the team’s company, the team shall be disqualified from the event.
  • For the Competitive category, there is no limit to the number of teams for each company.
  • For the Social category, we will give priority registration to the first two teams from each company. Should there be available slots after the closing date, the teams on the waiting list will be accepted based on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Teams can register up to 8 players – a minimum of 5 women and up to 3 men. However, teams must register a minimum of 5 players –  a minimum of 3 women and up to 2 men.
  • A maximum of 2 male players are allowed to be on court at any one time. There is no limit to the number of women on court (up to the 5 players).
  • Male players are restricted to the positions: Goal Shooter (GS) and Goal Keeper (GK).

  • Teams are required to submit their entries on the official entry form provided or via our website.
  • All team players’ names must be submitted before the closing date.
  • Any changes to the team list must be made before 9 November and must be approved by Netball Singapore.
  • Please call 63465063 Ext 119/120 after faxing to verify that your entry form and name list are received. No appeals shall be entertained because of transmission error.
  • Tournament fees are to be paid before the closing date. Payment can be made by internet bank transfer to Netball Singapore. DBS Current Account 004-021181-2 or cheque made payable to NETBALL SINGAPORE, or cash.

6)    Scoring and Time Keeping

  • Central Timing will be kept by Netball Singapore.
  • Point System – Win 2 points, Draw 1 point, Loss 0 point and deduction of 2 points for the team conceding a walkover.
  • Teams that are late for 2 minutes will be deemed to have given a walkover


7)   Event Administration

    • Random checks of players’ identity may be conducted in the duration of the event.
    • All protests or complaints must be submitted in writing within 2 hours of the incident and must be accompanied by the protest fee of $50.00.
    • Netball Singapore reserves the right to decide on postponement in the case of inclement weather or other circumstances.
    • In the event that the carnival may not be completed on time on 10th November, the games will be stopped, and the final results will be determined by a penalty shootout amongst those teams still in the running for the finals. The same will apply if the event has to be moved to the Reserve date in exceptional circumstances.
    • 4 shooters from each team will have 1 shot each from a designated point decided by Netball Singapore. A maximum of 2 men are allowed in the shootout, and no limit to the number of women. In the event of a draw after the 4 shots, the highest drawn teams will continue shooting in a sudden death format (1 further throw for each team using the same 4 shooters in rotation) until the winner is determined.


8)   First Aid

  • First-aiders and ambulance will be on standby during the event.


9)   Liability

  • Netball Singapore and its sponsors shall not be liable for any accidents, injuries or losses of personal properties that may have been suffered during this event.
