When did you start playing netball?

I started playing netball as an extra curriculum activity when I was Primary Four. The same old story: I wanted to join basketball but went to the wrong trainings instead.And I stayed on!

Why did you choose netball over other sports?

I'm a feminist and netball is ( as far as I know) the only sports that's not dominated by men?

What is the best thing about playing netball?

The best thing about playing netball is that I can switch to playing other sports rather easily and enjoying them. The various skills;footwork;passing techniques are so familiar in other games!

What is the worst thing about playing netball?

The worst thing about netball is...the love for it is so strong that I'm resistant to playing other games when I'm a secondary school student..actually it was all the way to high school!

How many caps do you have?

Just checked on www.netball.org.sg to see that I had appeared in 58 international games!
 

What do you remember about your 1st cap?

I always thought my 1st cap came from Asian Championship 2005. After checking www.netball.org.sg,I realised that I actually made my debut in the PNG test series in 2005. 

I remembered that it was a first time to an Oceanic country for many of us, the crowd was spontaneous and warm. We had their home crowd cheering for us and they rushed down to shake our hands when we drew the second game.

Of course,missing home and singing national songs together in the tiny van while traveling was lots of fun!

What has been your biggest achievement in the sport?

To play for my country! Majulah Singapura

How would you encourage people to get into the sport?

If you never play,you will never get to play.

What motivates you to keep playing?

The game or probably the success (a secret code to the Physical Education fraternity)
