When did you start playing netball?

I was in Primary 6, 12 years old. I played Basketball when i was in Primary 3- 5, got interested in Netball the year after. Since i was the tallest girl in school, my coach put me back in the defence. Usually i was the GK. I was never a shooter until i had to trial for sports school and it went well.

Why did you choose netball over other sports?

When i was 12, all i wanted was to get into Sports School. Back then, sports school didnt have baskteball, the closest sports to basketball was Netball.

What is the best thing about playing netball?

The best thing about playing netball is the thrill of putting the shots in and having people cheering you, especially in a tight match.

What is the worst thing about playing netball?

Getting injured before the season starts. Having to watch a game that you can not play can be very hard thing to do. 

How many caps do you have?

I don't have any yet. However, I am hoping that my first cap will be this year. 

What do you remember about your 1st cap?

I hope my first cap will be a memorable one. 

What has been your biggest achievement in the sport?

Getting into the Opens Squad is my biggest achievement. I thought i was only going to play for Singapore when I am 20.

How would you encourage people to get into the sport?

Well, first you need to convince them of the benefits, show them how to play the sport and letting them have a go at it. 

What motivates you to keep playing?

My dad. I always wanted to be like him. Playing for Singapore. Being one of the best striker or should I say shooter. Always brave to try new things. He always motivates me. He always encourage me to go as far as I can. He is the reason why I am still playing Netball.
