Coaching Courses

To support the development of coaches, Netball Singapore holds regular coaching accreditation courses. Courses will provide coaches with an understanding of basic coaching principles and the safe teaching of basic netball skills.

*Note that the Level 1 Coaching Course is conducted over two days and attendance is compulsory to obtain NCAP Certification. 

**Course Fees are increasing from 1st April 2012 in line with costs of course and resources. 

Prerequisites for Foundation Coaching Course:

Prerequisites for NCAP Level 1 Coaching Course

• Foundation Coaching Certificate

*Note that coaches do not have to complete the Level 1 NCAP Theory separately with SSC.  The Level 1 Technical and Theory is fully integrated into both the Foundation and Level 1 Coaching Courses.

Requirements for NCAP Level 1 Coaching Course:

• Successful completion of both Day 1 & 2 including the Practical Assessment on Day 2
• Completion of the online Rules Theory Test prior to Day 1.  Refer to the following link http://netball.org.sg/news/level-1-rules-theory-exam-goes-online

• Coaches who have previously attended the Level 1 course and who need to complete their Practical Assessment can attend the relevant section on Day 1 Free of Charge from 10am-12pm to see an ideal training session.   
• NROC Membership – after successful completion or Requirements listed above.  Download Application Form 0

Coaches who have yet to complete all Level 1 Course requirements:

Email Julia Lawrence, Technical Manager and provide details of date attended when they attended the Level 1 course and which modules they are still to complete.  Arrangements will then be made for you to attend the required components.

**Coaches needing to complete the Mental Skills and Fitness modules on Day 2 must register with Julia Lawrence and pay $35 for each module.

Coaches Only Needing to Complete the Level 1 Practical Coaching & Assessment:

Email Julia Lawrence, Technical Manager to verify. You MUST ATTEND the Ideal Practical Session on Day 1 from 10am to 12pm and Assessment on Day 2 from 9am to 12pm. 

• Attendance at the practical skills session on Day 1 will be free of charge.
• Attendance at the 3-hour practical workshop / assessment on Day 2 will cost $40.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Please register for the course online via www.netball.org.sg.
2. Netball Singapore will confirm your registration by email.
3. Pre-payment of course is required. Registrations without payment will be deemed as not complete and will not be accepted. Numbers for courses are limited.
4. Preferred payment is via PayPal.  Go to www.netball.org.sg. No payments will be accepted on the day of the course.
5. Cheque payments should be crossed and made payable to “Netball Singapore”. Please do not send cash by post. Attention mail Finance Dept, Address: Netball Singapore, 6 Stadium Boulevard, Singapore 397797.
6. Cash payment can be done through Netball Singapore office from Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm.
7. An official receipt for the payment will be issued by Netball Singapore, except for PayPal payments where a PayPal receipt is issued on payment.
8. Netball Singapore reserves the right to postpone or cancel the courses, replace the course presenter, limit or refuse enrolment, reject any participant who fails to conduct himself or herself in a proper manner.
9. Application for course withdrawal must be made in writing with official receipt attached and is subjected to approval of Netball Singapore.
10. 10.Netball Singapore will refund the participant if he/she decides to withdraw from the course after registration. The refund policy is as follows:
11. Withdrawal made 2 weeks or earlier prior to course commencement: 100% of course fees.
12. Withdrawal made within 10 days prior to course commencement: 50%.
13. No refund will be allowed within 3 days of course commencement.
14. 11.Netball Singapore and its course presenters will not be responsible or in any way liable for personal injury or accidents or loss of property whatsoever arising, during and after the course.
15. 12.Netball Singapore reserves the right to add, delete or vary the rules and regulations governing the courses at any time as it deems fit.
